SAINT FRANCIS XAVIER PARISH

SCRIP

SCRIP is a term that means “substitute money”. When you purchase SCRIP you’re purchasing negotiable gift certificates and prepaid cards that are used just like cash. You can use SCRIP to purchase everyday items like food, clothing, and other essentials.  With every purchase you earn revenue for St. Francis and Leblond HS for your current or future student or that of a friend or relative.

HOW SCRIP GENERATES REVENUE FOR YOU:

St. Francis buys scrip at a discount and re-sells the certificates to families for full face value. The discount – from 2-15% or more – is a revenue for St. Francis. As an incentive for all families to participate in the scrip fundraising program, all discounts will be split with families – ½ of the revenue will go to St. Francis and ½ of the revenue will be credited back to the family as Saint Francis or Leblond tuition credit. The tuition credits will be applied to the family’s account at Saint Francis or Leblond in May. For those families that do not have a child at Saint Francis or Leblond at this time your credit will accrue until your child is a student at Saint Francis or Leblond, or you can apply your credit to a Saint Francis or Leblond student of a relative or friend.

Script is available for purchase at the Parish Office during regular office hours, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm.

REGULAR UPDATES:

Families will receive regular updates on all scrip details in the bulletin and through school. Vendors join and leave the program throughout the year and also change the donation to the church or the denomination available. Some vendors offer bonus discounts, especially around the holidays.
